Downtown New Philadelphia Businesses Presents: Summer Community Concert Series

Alley Cats Marketplace, Fresh the Market & Lacey’s Performing Art Center are thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting  Community Concert Series, aimed at bringing together music lovers from all walks of life for delightful Saturday afternoons of entertainment, shopping, eating at local eateries and camaraderie.

Immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of musical genres, strengthen community bonds as you enjoy the music with neighbors and friends. 

These concerts will take place the first Saturdays of the summer, June 1st, July 6th and August 3rd.  Location is at the outdoor patio at Lacey’s PAC at 116 – 1st Dr. SW, New Philadelphia.  The concerts are open air and free to all ages.

This Concert Series is in addition to the Chetsville Productions, Summer Sounds aka Music on the Square held on Saturday, July 20th inconjunction with Downtown New Philadelphia Summer Sales (Sidewalk Sales).   Which gives our community another opportunity to shop, eat and enjoy music at the gazebo quadrant in the downtown.

The Community Concert Series is a celebration of the vibrant cultural atmoshere that defines our community.  From classical to contemporary, jazz to folk, each concert will showcase talented local musicians  and ensembles, reflecting the diverse musical tastes and traditions of our area.  

Featured Artists:  the first Saturday, June 1st at 11 am Emmy Rae will be perfoming.  Emmy Rae is a 19 year old indie/alternative artist based in Morgantown, WVA. She will sing a variety of original and crowd favorites, while playing her ukelele and guitar.  Emmy Rae is currently in progress of her debut album.  

12:30 to 3 Dan Gribble, local musican/singer is always a favorite, will perform many crowd pleasing songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

3:15 to 4 The Tuscarawas County Ukelele Squad.  A new fun-loving group, formed through the Dover Public Library, will be playing and singing a variety of tunes (audience participation is encouraged).  Their mission statement is “Fun, Fellowship & Music…”

July 6th Melly West & the Sunshine Funtime Band and Nick Bonner & more are scheduled.  August 3rd musicians to be announced.
